Look after your health – have a mammogram

On 15 September, we invite you to visit the mobile mammography unit in front of our shopping centre

Prevention matters. Regular mammograms can detect changes that cannot be spotted during self-examination of the breasts. Early detection of abnormalities increases the chances of starting effective treatment quickly. That is why, on 15 September, we invite you to free mammograms outside the Auchan Bielsko-Biała Shopping Centre.

A special mammography van will be available from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm. Screening times may be subject to change depending on the number of people booked in.

To book a screening, please register in advance by telephone on 22 33 81 960 or 58 666 24 44. You can also register via the online form: https://www.luxmed.pl/dla-pacjenta/uslugi/diagnostyka/formularz-nfz-mammografia or via the Online Patient Account (IKP) and the mojeIKP app.  

The receptionists will check your eligibility for the screening via the NFZ Preventive Care Monitoring IT System, so it is advisable to have your identity card to hand before the call, as this will be required to confirm your eligibility.

Under the Breast Cancer Prevention Programme funded by the National Health Fund (NFZ), women aged between 45 and 74 are eligible for a free mammogram:
every 24 months – if they have not previously been diagnosed with a malignant tumour in the breast,
every 12 months – if they have completed breast cancer treatment and the 5-year post-treatment
monitoring period, every 12 months – if, 5 years after surgical treatment for breast cancer, they are still undergoing adjuvant hormone therapy (HT)

Women covered by the ‘Care programme for families at high, hereditary risk of breast or ovarian cancer’ or the ‘Comprehensive oncological care programme for patients with breast cancer’ are excluded from the scheme.

Please bring images or CDs from previous mammograms to your appointment if these were not performed at a LUX MED centre.
